 BOOKING INFORMATION
Come to Homer for a relaxing visit or fishing trip. Homer is an easy place to be a tourist.  Pioneer Avenue and the Spit are nice places to park and walk and have many interesting shops. Our home is pleasant and you can get a good rest.  We live upstairs, and you have your privacy in the lower level.  We named our boat after our dog, who loves to pose for pictures. Our boat rides well in the water and is very safe feeling.
BOAT

We have a 25'X9' USCOLA Offshore Bowrider, built in Palmer Alaska.  It is a heavy duty aluminum boat.  It is equipped with Twin Honda 90 Four Stroke engines, two VHF radios, a cell phone, two GPS's, a Fish/Depth Finder, and a heater.  The hull has three separate sealed compartments and the decks are self bailing.  Four people can comfortably fish on the boat.  We are licensed by ADF&G and the USCG.

BEDS

We have a great view of lower Cook Inlet.  We can see Flat Island and the Barrens on a very clear day.  We can also see Mt. Douglas, Augustine Island, and Mt. Illiamna.  We have a two bedroom unit; one room has a queen size bed and the other has twin beds.  There is a small kitchen, a dining area, a TV, a shared 3/4 bath (no tub), a deck out front, and laundry facilities.  We expect a mutual quiet time after 11PM.  Coffee, tea, toast and butter, cold cereal and milk will be provided . . . serve yourself.  You can check in at 7PM and check out at 5PM, giving us a little time to attend to the rooms.  These hours are non standard because we do charters.

HALIBUT FISHING

We fish full full day trips in Lower Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay.  The average time it takes to get to the fishing grounds is one to one and a half hours.  The halibut limit is two per day.  We have flexible hours if you want to go fishing early.  We will load the boat at home for you, launch, fish, return, and unload the boat and the fish at home, where we hang the fish for your pictures and fillet them.  All tackle, bait, and fish filleting is provided.  You  will be responsible for your own ADF&G license, Halibut Derby tickets ($10 per person [optional]), light rain gear, and lunches.  Licenses, Derby tickets, and lunches may be purchased at the local Safeway store, which is on the way to the harbor.

SALMON FISHING

We have Salmon poles and downriggers.  You need a King Salmon Stamp from ADF&G on your license to fish for Kings.  The Daily bag limit is one per day.  Trolling for Sliver Salmon after the 20th of July is fun. You  will be responsible for your own ADF&G license, light rain gear, and lunches.  Licenses and lunches may be purchased at the local Safeway store, which is on the way to the harbor.

CLAM DIGGING

We offer a clam digging that is approximately 6 hours.  We travel one and one half hours by boat up the bay before the minus tide.  We arrive at least one hour before low tide, and stay until the tide chases us away.  You get Steamer clams and Butter clams that must be kept in salt water to clean themselves and stay alive.  You need to provide a four prong garden rake and a five gallon bucket with a lid.  You no longer need a shellfish permit to dig clams.  We use a small inflatable and a five horse Mercury to go ashore.

WATER TAXI

We can deliver people and gear to most points in Kachemak Bay.  We can go to Halibut Cove, Seldovia, or just plain sight seeing.  Call 907-235-7291 for more information.

WEATHER & TIDES

All charters are weather permitting.  We have access to online National Weather Service printable forecasts.  Local tides in this area are sometimes extreme.  Therefore, we fish deeper during slack and neap tides, and shallower during the larger moving tides.  We trust that we will have another wonderful summer.  Tide books are available at most banks.

LOCATION

We are located at 41066 Ruth Way which is located on Diamond Ridge Road.  Ruth Way is the first left turn off Diamond ridge.  It is approximately five miles WNW (toward Anchorage) from Homer.  We are the third house on the right.
